i’m loving these sweet new cross stitch kits from tamara at the six week boutique. tamara’s “saturday night girl” collection is inspired by her “motorcycle riding, trouser wearing great grandmother dulcie”. all i know is that i would have loved to have hung out with tamara’s grandmother. the new collection is available as a limited edition at tamara’s store- click here to check them out and shop ($25 each) online.

Go Dulcie! :) Very cool designs.
My grandmother was a farmer’s wife in 1930′s Ireland, so you can imagine. Except, not alone had she been to university (she had a B. Mus.) she run a music school, bought her clothes in Dublin (akin to me flying to Milan for the shows these days so far as Dromiskin was concerned) but she rode her own motorbicycle. Guttingly, the only photograph of her on the bike, in all her leather gear, gauntlets and goggles, was lost.
Swoon. Coveting the family history as well as the patterns.
love these!
what an awesome grandma!
Oh it must be awesome to be related to someone like that! Someone who took chances and just did their own thing! Those cross stitch patterns are adorable!
I’ve never stitched anything before, but I am inspired by these kits!
