yesterday i finally finished my new upholstered headboard (the diy video will be up at 1pm today!) and now the makeover momentum is carrying over to my dark living room. i feel the need to lighten everything up and have my eyes on this wallpaper from anthropologie. i have a little outcropping on one side of the room and am dying to cover it with this paper, and my vintage mirror that looks a lot like the one below (but cost a whole lot less).

i’m also dying to replace my seriously hideous overhead light with a wire chandelier. i’m still hunting for one that won’t leave me without rent money, but until then, d*s guest blogger cerentha harris has a whole post on beautiful wire designs right here…

that wallpaper is beautiful… but it’s made from old Ernst Haeckel drawings (among other old stuff) so that’s kind of a given. His stuff is incredible:

The wallpaper’s so rich… beautiful. even one stipe of it would make a statement.
it’s a fantastic tool to dress up a space.
The wallpaper+mirror combo looks awesome!
can’t wait to see the changes. I’m in a bit of a wallpaper craze myself and looking for one for the bathroom. And I hear you on the light fixtures. We just finished some makeover changes around the house and I want to change many of our overhead lights…but looks like it will have to wait till next year.
That is going to look amazing!
I can’t wait to see the DIY headboard video, I need to make one myself, and honestly – I am scared!
Ohh, a wire chandelier?! How perfectly high-low.
Send a link when you find one!
Can’t wait for the headboard tutorial. Hubby and I desperately need one in our NYC apartment.
Stunning wallpaper! I love the old-world details. Even just a bit of it framed would look gorgeous…
you must use that wallpaper somewhere, divine.
OMG, I’d be putting that up right now if I were you- it is ah-mazing. Great start to your makeover :)
You have absolutely no choice BUT to put up that wallpaper somewhere in your humble abode. Stunning!
I have been coveting this mirror for months now so I have to ask – where did you snag your cheaper version? The wallpaper is lovely!
