good morning! i’ve got the jitters already this morning (big announcement about a new d*s project at 1pm today!) so i’m going to try to calm my nerves by focusing on these (new) cool blue calendar from miriam bereson in australia. miriam’s new 2010 planner (and their new family calendar) is a gorgeous range of blue hues and is a wonderfully creative way to keep track of the days and months. if you have a lot to write on each day it may not be the best option, but if you’re like me and just jot down small bits of info (birthdays, anniversaries, ben & jerry free cone days) it’s perfect. the new miriam bereson calendars are available right here for $25 and $12.50.

i also want to take a moment to welcome andy beach of reference library and stork bites man to the d*s guest blog! i was a big fan of the temporary shop andy set up for kiosk and am so excited to see the second shop he’ll be doing for them again soon! until then, andy will be joining us this week with his unique, minimalist spin on great design finds from ebay and beyond.. click here to check out his first post on great ebay finds…welcome, andy!

that’s funny how you jot down ben & jerry’s free ice cream cone days on your calendar – way to stay on top of things ;)
love that calendar! so hard to find one that is not garish! thanks for sharing!
I really like the calendar idea!
This calendar is great, fun, and bright. Would look great on my wall!

Actually, this way to show days and months isn’t new at all, it’s simply the same than the famous “bubblewrap calendar” that was on all gadgets blogs this past year. see this google image search link for example : http://images.google.com/images?q=bubble+wrap+calendar&hl=fr&lr=lang_fr&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi
the way she used colored dots to show the week ends is graphically beautiful though.

the miriam b. team put out a calendar the year before, too- so i would be surprised if they’re sourcing the bubble wrap calendar as inspiration for this.

Oh, I did not know. Maybe that’s the bubble wrap calendar that took the idea from them then.
Love it – although I had a 2009 in the loveliest musks and pinks which will be hard to give up
