I just want to add that the cultural renaissance in Iowa isn't just happening in Des Moines. A lot of small towns are getting in on the act, too. We have a population of around 3000 and we have an arts council, a puppet theater, a film festival, a county fair, and an amazing amount of restaurants for the size of the town, and we're just getting going. I know this is happening all across the state. It's about time "rural" and "cultural" went hand in hand. I’ll have to make a pilgrimage to some of these places once the weather warms up again.
