Wow, this transformation is incredible! I am a firm believer that changing to gorgeous windows can absolutely make a renovation, and this proves it!
Great work, Karolina!
LOVE IT! great job!!
Beautiful!
if only there were more pictures. stunning
YOWZA.
the exterior was cute before but it’s gorgeous now.
Amazing! I am very jealous of your house.
such a great before and after! love the additions to the exterior of the house as well, really adds character!
Love it! Especially the laundry room.
WOW I’m not normally a fan of white walls, but the overdone white surfaces in this house is TOTALLY working. I love it!
great before & afters!
I want that laundry room! The whole house is just lovely!
Wow, beautiful.
Hard work paid off here!
Love that utility/laundry room.
Wow, so much hard work went into this house but it definitely payed off in the end, its really gorgeous. I love the simplicity of everything
The laundry room is STUNNING!
I love that Swedish design turns expectations on its head — in such a cold climate you’d expect dark color, heavy furniture and tons of fabric. Instead, Swedes do everything they can to increase the amount of light, and the feeling of lightness, in the home. Gorgeous!!!
Incredible. The laundry room is so inviting. I’d be washing something every day. Enchanting place and great transformation!
Stunning, stunning, stunning!! Great job Karolina; you can definitely see all the hard work you put into it and it looks gorgeous! Congrats on your beautiful home. :)
I realize d*s has no control over this, but it would be ever so much more helpful if after photos were taken from precisely the same perspective as before photos. Particularly when most of the photos are absent captions.
This is GORGEOUS! I love the sparseness of the design, and the use of focal points. I really like the lamp and bonsai detail in the dining room photo.
That white table is my DREAM table. I have been looking for one just like it for years!
Beautiful! We are remodeling our house and it is taking forever! Love love love the windows!
This is beautiful, but, good Lord, that’s a lot of white! I particularly like the exterior, and I might possibly kill someone for that laundry room!
From my point of view, it’s not really a before/after, since the rooms, the walls, pretty much everything has been destroyed or re-done. It’s a transformation, not a “give it a better look with some paint”. But I admire the result.

“before & after” applies to a broad range of projcts- including renovation. our goal is merely to show something in its previous state and new, improved state.
if we stuck to a definition of “give it a better look with some paint” the readers would KILL ME. i constantly hear “i’m sick of things being painted” so i try to include as many great reno or upcycling projects as possible that aren’t about paint or fabric ;)

amazing reno. can’t believe i’m sayin this, but i even love your laundry room. great work! enjoy
WOOOOWWWW love the house,
i wanna live there!!
any clue where the wallpaper from the first picture came from? I love that light pinstripe.
I love the addition of the front porch and new windows. What a beautiful job!
What a great transformation. It looks so easy in the photos but i bet there were lots of swedish swear words said during the process. At least thats what happens when i reno.
love it! we’re renovating now, too, with lots of white – i hope it turns out as beautifully as this!
I love the outside of this house! What a great job!
AMAZING! Love what they did to the exterior!
Now THAT is a before and after! Well done.
WOW!
I feel this is one post I will go back to, again and again… This is so in key of what I hope to do someday. Find something so sad, and make it so wonderful. Alive!
Follow-up on my previous comment.
Was missing a link to Karolina herself, but som googling gave me: http://itsahouse.blogspot.com
It’s in swedish, but the pictures alone are worth it if you don’t know the language! :)
I’m soo going through the whole back-blog over there!
I LOVE that laundry room. I’m just now getting better at keeping up with the laundry in my house, but laundry would be so much more awesome in that room!
The once plain facade has been transformed into a wonderful, classical home! Great work!
That is some serious vision. I love it.
I just love what they’re doing to this house! I’m only 17 but this makes me wanna be 30 and have a house like this right now. I can’t wait until I come back to Sweden and can go visit them, I’m so curious to see it live.
