today i wanted to wrap up the week by taking a moment to introduce, and thank, all of the people that make design*sponge possible. this week marked the 5 year anniversary of d*s (i hope you downloaded the special anniversary gift!) and the site has come a long way since it was just me and a laptop. i feel very lucky to work with a fantastic team of freelance writers who contribute thoughtful columns to the site each week. without them, i’d be lost. so i wanted to introduce you to each of them, and the columns they produce. moving clockwise from the top, please say hello to:

Happy Birthday d*s! I love your blog and have become a daily reader!
I love seeing pics of the peeps behind the scene. And thanks again for the freebie wallpaper. I have been staring at it all week here at work. Its so pretty, it just makes me smile! :)
Congrats again, Grace. What a team. Who needs all those magazines we miss, like domino and Blueprint? We got all the columns now, baby! WE ARE ROLLIN’!
don’t you forget about me!!! (in honor of Mr. Hughes, RIP!)
it’s an honor and a joy to be a part of this wonderful team. i’m so thrilled for all the new company joining in the fun :)

Congratulations Grace!
Speaking of all the great editors, what really irritates me sometimes is that you can´t see who wrote the respective posts… I think this would be a huge improvement. Or is it somewhere and I can´t see it?
THANK YOU for that wallpaper. Gorgeous. Congratulations team, and congratulations Grace!

normally we have any editor written posts end with a “-amy” tag link. wordpress doesn’t let me label posts with authors on the main page, at least that i know of. but i’ll email our coder again and double check :)
grace
Pat yourselves on the back – you are one ray of sunshine in my day!!
congratulations on 5 years! And thank you for adding all of my favorite bloggers to your editorial line-up, I love the direction Design*Sponge is headed. Here’s to 5 (+) great years!
Congrats Grace- it looks like you have an amazing team here! Excited to keep reading the newer features.
Also, I would agree with Lillian that it is often hard to tell who wrote which posts, so if there is a way to make it more obvious that would be great! I totally understand though that the blog tools are limiting at times. We had the same issue at my previous employer and addressed the issue with adding a category for each of our names which we tagged our posts with.
But regardless of who is writing it, you guys are putting out great content… Thanks!
cat
that’s a great idea! i’ll try to put that into action on all new posts :)

Wow five years! Congrats!! Oh! and I read a post you had several weeks back, legal advice for the design community by kate summers. Turns out she lives in Nashville so her and I hooked up and went to lunch. All thanks to you!!
Kudos on your great new team. I’ve been a super fan of sarah ryhanen’s gorgeous botanicals in particular. Congratulations on 5 years and cheers to many, many more to come!

Fabulous!! I ADORE this wallpaper by Deanne Cheuk, and was wondering if you know if it’s available for purchase somewhere in a hard copy print? I checked her site shop but didn’t see. It’s exactly what I’m looking for over my couch in the new place! xo LM
hi leanne
this was a design created specially for the d*s anniversary gift, so it’s only in digital form here.
