good morning! i’m thrilled to kick off the week with a great new line from designers jennifer hill of jhill design and kelly smith of etcetera goods. jen and kelly collaborated to create a beautiful line of pillows made from reclaimed felt originally intended for the under-collar lining of tailor suit jackets (hence their company name). the laser cut patterns on each pillow are based on jen’s “places i’ve never been” drawings and come in 2 sizes, in a range of 4 colors. if you’re stopping by the gift fair this week be sure to stop by and check them out in person in accent on design, booth 3974. in the meantime, click here for more info and to shop.

also, i’m thrilled to welcome illustrator and designer amy borrel to the d*s guest blog! amy runs all the mountains (i love this blog) and tummy-ache from her home in melbourne and will be joining us to talk about her favorite things this week. click here to check out her first post on baker’s dozen!
ps: for those of you reading via rss- i accidentally published a city guide for tuesday instead of drafting it, so i’ve removed it until tuesday. so sorry- sometimes when i’m coding late at night i end up hitting the wrong button. it will be back up on tuesday afternoon.

Lovely pillows!
Wow, great detail!
I love those cushions they’re beautiful and would work in so many rooms.
Felt is one of my favorites for pillows! Feels great under a hand or head and the texture is unique. Glad to see it being used in this beautiful pillow design!
Hi there! Thanks Amy for the great free-hand stitching idea! Just starting to get my feet wet with embroidery. I posted my very first try on my blog…kind of looks like a child made it, but hey, you gotta start somewhere, right? :o) Thanks for the idea!
