earlier this year i posted about lovely kraft paper book covers from brooklyn’s book city jackets. jeremy at book city jackets mentioned they were working on a new series of covers designed by independent artists and today i’m happy to announce that their artists edition no. 1 is now live!

the new series (available for $9 each) features original drawings by eveline tarunadjaja, morgan blair, and matthew caputo. i have a soft spot for whales so i really love that top image, but they’re all fun ways to jazz up boring book covers or school books you’d like to customize. you can purchase the covers right here on the book city jackets website or check them out in person at the brooklyn flea this weekend. also, book city jackets is accepting submissions fro the next set, which will be released in early fall so contact them at the website if you’re interested in submitting your work.
