Hattie Newman lives in a magical world, filled with mountains constructed of paper, rainbow colored villages and enormous gingerbread men.

She was nominated for creative 30 last year, an annual award recognizing emerging talent in the UK. There are loads of other amazing people featured on the site, if you have a moment I particularly liked Katie Paterson who recorded the sounds of glaciers onto an ice record she had made from the water of the same glaciers. These are so inspiring. Just the place you’d want to shrink down and wander through as a child.
Love! I would like to inhabit one of these little magical worlds. So colorful and fun.
Wow, incredible!
i just love the mountains and tree – it’s hard to make out in the photo, but what is the base of the tree made from?
Aaawww… So lovely to see Hattie being featured – she is one of the loveliest people I have ever met. I used spend hours just pottering around her university studio bench hoping I could absorb some of her talent! Go Hattie! Well done you!!!
Giant Gingerbread men, how great. Thank you for the introduction. The photo’s made me smile.
Yummy and beautiful, what a pair! Very fun to look at, I love all of the color too!

Oh, how lovely! I expect to see Dorothy and Toto any moment now… However did you make the turkey popup?
This is so great and inspiring!
Love! Love love love!
O.k., I’ve recovered my vocabulary again. It reminds me of the “Perfect” Walgreens commercials.
I love the giant gingerbread men! :)
