up next- two clever before and afters that involve elbow grease and a little bit of paint. first up is a project from sidney wagner of eclectic interior design group.
sidney found this old piece at an antique mall with a sign that said “not a wine wrack” and decided it had potential (and a previous life as some sort of balcony remnant). after taking it home, sidney had a local craftsman attach legs, and added a bright coat of white paint and a glass top to create a chic table for her sunporch. great work, sidney! there’s another porch-related makeover after the jump, so be sure to click “read more” below.

These are both stunning! The table is perfect in white and I love the striped floors and green chairs.
Brilliant idea for the table! Love it!
I think I prefer the industrial look of the before on that table, though hats off to the innovative use. Just not a fan of white furniture–but very cool idea either way! And the sun porch is a huge improvement. The striped floor looks great, and the room is so much sunnier and inviting.
Oh my! Those are both wonderful transformations! I especially like the coffee table, how imaginative and how lovely!
I LOVE the table!!!
Floors are fab too!
I love the table, what a great idea!
i love the stripes! great work on both projects.
oohhh. that porch swing is screaming for a fun paint job! Hot pink anyone? Red? Black?
it would be the clincher for sures!
I love the table, and the striped floors. All that sunroom needs now are some summer-y curtains!
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!
Love the striped floor! Did you just use paint or put down a new material?

Thanks so much for the feature, and for all of the lovely comments!
We just put down two coats of primer over the old flooring, and then painted the stripes!
gotta love the stripe floor!!
Both are lovely. I’m in love with the coffee table. These post make me look at everything differently and want to make them over. Great inspiration.
This is beautiful! I am in the wrong field…maybe for my midlife crisis, I’ll drop the accounting profession and take up decorating, I LOVE it!
Ditto Kristen (love the stripped floor BTW!)…thanks for the feature d*s and to y’all for the kind notes! I am sure the coffee table will find itself covered in many colors over its lifetime :)

Awesome work with the “not a wine rack” table. Was it difficult to clean up??
Love (and envy) the one-of-a-kind table, and Kristen’s porch makeover is just gorgeous! This is no surprise, coming from a blogger and Etsy seller with such a beautiful sense of style!
