I’m sorry for bringing the mood down, I don’t have anything against either of the transormations, i just thought that if it was an old clock it would be sad to change it so much. I haven’t seen any new clocks like that here in Australia, and I guess I got fooled. In the picture, it looks kind of old!

alright- The owl around the precious keepsake is so wonderful and whimsical it makes my toes curl!!!!
I like the clock to and admire your bravery to just take it apart and go for it!!

I have to agree to Erin: the new clock looks very nice – I just would not have sacrificed the butiful old one for it. (at least if was a real old one)
BTW: great blog! it steels at least 30min of my time …actually I would mind if it was just the time, but its time I am supposed to be at bed already ;o)

Love the clock update. I see those cheap-o clocks so many places since every lousy mall-store and walmart was selling them a few years back. I never thought of what an easy fix this would be. Nice work.

Also – that clock isn’t actually old, it’s linens ‘n’ things circa ’05. And it wasn’t particularly chic then. If you don’t like someone’s project, simply don’t comment on it. Unless they are painting pristine condition Eames chairs or something. SIN!
