our friday columnists are both taking a day off (kristina is in amsterdam and sarah is swamped with weddings) so i thought i’d share some beautiful flowers courtesy of sarah’s blog, since weeder’s digest is “off” for the day.

studio choo is the work of two best friends alethea harampolis and jill pilotte. alethea and jill share a love for flowers that are “just a little bit wild” and things that are made by hand so they decided to start a floral studio where they could create beautiful arrangements for weddings, local deliveries and events. sarah’s posted some of their work this week and i thought it shared so many of the qualities that i love of about saipua that it would be a perfect subsitution for weeder’s digest today.

i love the simplicity of their arrangements- nothing’s too “perfect” but it’s all just right. great work, alethea and jill! click here to see more of studio choo’s work. (how cute are their business cards?)

The lady slipper orchid is just beautiful . . .
oh, yeah! i super-duper love studio choo. yet another reason i wish i lived in california (well, sort of wish).
I love this! It’s such a nice break from the giant vase of flowers approach–letting the blossom shine on its own. Lovely!
I think the flowers in the birch tree stump would look so beautiful for a wedding. Totally bookmarking this! Thanks for the inspiration-
^ Jen – I actually did that very thing for my wedding! My mom and MIL are pretty crafty, so my dad supplied the birch and they stitched the bark semi-circles into “vases” for us.
We had large ones for the stage and smaller ones for the tables. I was SO HAPPY with how they came out!
Oooh, want! I love it. Especially the idea to use a ‘tree-stump’ for a vase.
I just love the simplicity. There is so much beauty already out there in the world! It’s great to see experts who really know how to highlight it.
I’m in love with their simple flower arrangement. It looks perfect. Alethea and Jill did a good job.
in love currently with small flower art- succulents are a weakness too.
This are fabulous!
