new: three sheets 2 the wind

i’m a huge fan of jenny sauer from three sheets 2 the wind (and her lovely home) and was excited to hear that she’d launched a brand new website- as well as new editions to her line.

i always love the bold colors and prints that jenny uses and she’s expanded her collection to include beautiful new prints and pillows that are perfect for summer. the natural on white and natural on black color combos are my favorite, but there are plenty of new pieces to check out right here. congrats and great work, jenny!

I love these prints and colours, they are just my style.

yikes! do they know that three sheets to the wind means Very Drunk in the UK? oops! lovely stuff though!

Or maybe not oops? Maybe it’s intentional? I’ve always understood it as a cheeky reference to the “crazy” idea of starting one’s own company, but I don’t actually know.

Anyway, I saw the new line in person at MiCA 12/v in Cincinnati a few days ago, and it’s gorgeous! The shapes and colors work perfectly, and the craftsmanship is impeccable. Hooray, Jenny!

Thank you for all the lovely comments! I appreciate the kind words.

Since the question about the name came up here, I thought I’d take this opportunity to explain where it came from. In 2001, I had just returned from a three month trip to Europe and was contemplating starting a business. I was so inspired by my carefree lifestyle for those few months that I came up with the idea of a textile design business called three sheets 2 the wind. Bedding was my original concept, but as I began to develop the artwork, I couldn’t help but isolate the basic imagery onto wall prints and pillows. Working out of my tiny apartment in Cincinnati that first year was rough, but the name and my spirit kept me going!
It also gave me the ability to “stumble” through the process of growing a business…and… might I say, it’s also pretty funny.

Cheers!
Jenny

p.s. the couch is from B&B Italia. It belongs to my talented friend, Rebekah Sigfrids. Her apartment is posted on Sneak Peaks!
