well good morning, beautiful rooms that should be mine. each of these gorgeous spaces is the work of durham, north carolina designer, heather garrett. i particularly love the kitchen heather’s design below- it’s the glamorous kitchen of my dreams. one day (in my dreams) i’d like to host fancy dinner parties in a kitchen that’s pretty enough to not only cook in, but entertain guests. if you’re in durham, be sure to stop by heather’s shop, or click here to see more of heather’s work online. [thanks, heather!]

I love the artwork and hanging lamp in that last picture, and they way they interact!
gorgeous!
that orange bench is fantastic!
Beautiful! Love the hanging lamps and the kitchen.
What a cozy home! Lots of fun eye candy everywhere you look. :)
Very lovely! I love the retro/modern mix and feel of the spaces. Antlers & branches are definitely a reoccurring theme throughout as well. Outdoor elements turned contemporary is such a great surprise.
What an amazing space. I have a similar guitar…that’s about it.
Sooooooooo beautiful !
Yay for NC design! How perfectly glamorous, cozy with a nature-y vibe. What a great juxtaposition!
what color is the bedroom paint?
Wall paper/painted brick half and half kitchen – works brilliantly – a beautiful home
Oh my! I love the oversize botanical artwork in the sitting room. Any idea as to where it’s from?
Lovely! I would also like to know what color the bedroom paint is…or a suggestion for a comparable color.
oh my goodness! Love it ALL! That oranged tufted bench!! The stunning oversized botanical piece!! The gorgeous light fixture in that last image… oh my!
That shelf detailing in the kitchen is just about the prettiest thing I’ve seen in a while. Really really beautiful!
wow! what a terrific style-I love that blue room with the orange cushions and that gorgeous print hanging up. fantastic!
Heather uses the best lighting. Wow! I think I want every single lamp and pendant.
This is one of my favorite homes shown here so far. Everything is so beautiful! I really love the color palette in each room.
Very sophisticated in a way that you feel comfortable living (not in a don’t-touch kind of way)! I’d love to know the paint color in the living room with the orange ottoman…very similar scheme to what I’m aiming for. Thanks for sharing!
I love the colours in the bedroom, really soothing!
I want the antler wreath! Did she make it?
what a tranquil home she’s created! her kitchen is my idea of perfection! xo
Please, please share your lighting resources. I am in Greensboro NC, and have been searching (to no avail) for a beautiful light fixture. Is the last one the Meri White drum by Oly? And can you tell me what fixture is over the first two pictures? Thanks so much for the tour of your beautiful home.
This is one of my favorite sneak peaks. It’s really beautiful.
I am a mess over that kitchen! SO in love am I! Only one suggestion, Heather… start taking some pro bono work purely on my behalf!
There are rhythms of white on white light patterns that keep my lashes fluttering in the most delightful way.
Yeah, Heather! Yeah, Durham design! Beautiful work, as always. :)
I covet that kitchen. And all the rooms are so well-lit. Loves it.
I’m intrigued- what is that trap door under the kitchen counter ?
i lovelovelove the kitchen, especially the barstools and the polka-dotted pitcher turned vase.
Oh my gosh… I want, want, WANT that orange ottoman. Anyone know where it came from, or where to find something similar?
Definitely my favorite sneak peak in a while
ditto the request for lighting details, please. particularly the pendents over the bar between the kitchen and dining area.
Gee, so glad people enjoyed these photos! Here are some of the things I used to work on these rooms…
Bedroom paint is by Ben Moore, in the Preview collection, and although I’ve misplaced the exact shade I know it was in the vein of Venetial Marble. The crazy persimmon suede Jonathan ottoman is by Oly. Re lighting, the pendant lanterns over the kitchen counter are by Jamie Young, white sculptural Meri drum in the foyer by Oly, dining room light by Nuevo. The oversized quince print is by NC’s own Ippy Paterson. And I cut a cat door into a remote lower cabinet for kitty’s box!
Does anyone know where the canopy bed is from? Love it!
The kitchen deserves to be used in a film … it has such an inviting feeling!
I too would love to know where the canopy bed is from pretty please!! :)
Love this home – the mantle type design/arrangement above the stove gives such a neat feel – it’s not often something makes you stop and look harder and it did. Thanks for sharing.
I love the use of antlers in the decorating. I think the piece in the kitchen looks amazing next to the wall paper!
Awesome! Beautiful colours. Really like all of the whites. And, love the barstools in the kitchen. Anyone know where I can snag some of these?
Heather- the house looks fantastic. Would you provide info on where the antlers and the bedside tables are from? Thanks!
I would like to know where the antler wreath is from as well.
Gorgeous home – thank you so much for sharing.
What beautiful spaces . . . and the decorating is simply gorgeous.
Alexis
I would love to know the blue paint color from the bedroom? It is gorgeous!
I second Winifred. The kitchen IS the most beautiful room I’ve seen in a long time. Lovely.
A few more sources…the bar stools are from Design Workshop in stamped black crocodile…bedside cabinet and antler wreath are both from Oly…sorry, but the canopy bed is a one-of-a-kind! Trying to find the blue bedroom paint color.
Wow, I obsessed with this kitchen. It’s so beautiful! If that was my kitchen maybe I’d even cook.
Beautiful. Great soft lighting.
