I love the French chair. I found one recently and painted and antiqued in a green finish. The fabric is a natural hemp for the back and an ivory hemp for the front and cushion. I can’t wait until it returns from the upholstery. This pink one is gorgeous!!

I didn’t realize i was a purist, but maybe I am to a degree. While super cute, the re-do on the dresser makes me a little sad. LOL!

Wondering where you can find good contact paper like shown on the dresser re-do?????? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

The dresser is a hard wood veneer on the top, sides and front. I could see this because the veneer was peeled off on the corner front edge (which you can se in the photo.). The drawers were a thicker veneered front.

I have refinished wood pieces before…but this seemed more like a piece to have fun with then to restore.

I appreciate that it is not a project that would appeal to purists or…men who notice furniture.

Thanks for the chair compliments! For anyone interested, the chair fabric is called Slubby Basket in teaberry.
