sneak peek: simon and rebecca finger

finger1
i wanted to add one more home tour today- designed by jill dupre, who we just visited at home below. she is responsible for the interior design in this beautiful new orleans home, belonging to simon and rebecca finger. jill describes the project as a “team effort” with a young family that is “full of energy”- and the results are just beautiful. i’m pretty taken with that chalkboard in the kitchen but there’s something special in each room. be sure to click “read more” below for more images after the jump. thanks to jill for sharing!

FYI link doesn’t work…

The bathroom is really pretty. And I have a similar green color in my bedroom, along with similar shades!

love the high contrast in the common areas…and the softer feel of the more private areas of the house.

but i am adler’ed to death. do we ALWAYS have to be subjected to his ubiquitous vases? and lighting?

mosey

Looks beautiful. I too love the chalkboard and also the simple spacious layout. It looks really easy to clean up after :) I also like the kid’s room with the mural.

Liz

Does anyone know where the rug made to look like the labyrinth at Chartres is from?

Sarah

Beautiful! Would you mind providing the color of the walls throughout the house (the light color) and also the manufacturer of the faucet on the island?

will

almost certain that rug is from ikea!! isn’t it darling!?

julie

Are these counters paperstone or richlite? I’m doing paperstone and pray. Mine will look half as good.

Golly

Am curious about the twin beds in the child’s room. Could you let me know where they were purchased? Many thanks for opening your home up. It’s lovely.

robin

Love the whole house- think that the kids room is great and would like to know where to get those beds (great space saver)!

Dana

Lovely decorated home! jill dupre has done a wonderful job. each room looks beautifully done.

Allison

The kitchen is great. Are the cabinets custom or…Ikea?

Would also love to know the countertop material.

will

i think the rug is discontinued. but it was called FREJA. try ebay?

Katie

Love the hanging chair in the kids’ room — can you share where you found it??

Sandi

Love the castelli units in the bathroom and I’ve always been a sucker for the ’70′s wall murals.

Sarah

Grace,
I think this is one of the best sneak peeks in a while. There are parts of this space that are very well executed and obviously the whole place was well thought out. Loved it! Very inspirational.

rena

wondering if you could provide a source for the wallpaper/covering in the kids room (mountain view).
thanks!

Sararudh

Where did you get the kid’s beds? They look terrific.

erin

Loving the kids’ beds, too. I think they are the “loft beds” from Room & Board. I’ve been wanting those, but am afraid my little one might roll off the tall one at night as there are no railings…

liz

wonderful!

where is the round mirror from that’s in the baby’s room?

janna

Love the kids room! I’ve been searching for beds just like that, where are they from?

Gina

I HAVE to know where you got the black chandelier in the bathroom. It is so beautiful, as is the rest of the house.

Jo

i love this space – it’s the best sneak peak in a while – it’s so understated, yet a mix of industrial and plush. This is very “my style” and i could just move in…. Feel like selling? Heh. Thank you for opening up your home to us all to drool over. xx

Jenny Lane

PLEASE share where you got the cool chair hanging in the children’s room!

pergolina

What a beautiful home. The wall of tiles gives such a great glow to the kitchen and bathroom love it!!!!

Tartelette

My whole pantry door is chalkboard, best coat of paint I ever applied!! Love it!

This is a gorgeous space and the perfect mix of modern and homey!

Karen

Love, love, love this house. Especially the kitchen. It totally looks like a space where lots of people can hang and be comfortable…

ann mcguire

amazing kitchen!!! I love how the lighting focuses your attention on tasks while creating a beautiful atmosphere.

Louise

I could be happy in that kitchen..needs a bit of whimsy tho..wonder if it has a sink with a window and a lovely view..a must

Donita
