i’m heading out of town today so i’ll be posting earlier than normal today, ending around 11. so i thought i’d kick things off with these beautiful lighting designs from isabelle sicart- i love the way she’s worked porcelain into the fixtures- they’re so dramatic. click here to see more of her work.

also, today is maria‘s final day at the d*s guest blog. it’s been such a treat having her back- click here to check out her post on beautiful cooking books from rabelais in portland, maine.

lovely work!
wow the porcelain fixtures are absolutely stunning!
I’m going crazy over the ones over the dining room table!! So beautiful!!
That is giving me so many ideas for my future dining room!
That IS a lot of drama! It feels a little more like a cool hotel lobby or restaurant than a home lighting, but it is beautiful :)
I love those lighting fixtures! But are they not for sale? I can’t seem to find a “BUY” button on the website (but I also don’t read French…).
wow, these are gorgeous!
WOW!!! The overhead chandeliers are out of this world!!
Oh those are beautiful!
These are absolutely amazing! I love the pieces in the dining room.
How do you purchase them?
UH…
…MAZING!
Just so you know, Grace, you can effectively check the box marked “done” next to my name on your holiday shopping list! ;)
Those lighting fixtures are quite fantastic. I especially like the standing corner floor lamp that resembles a tree.
I’m wondering if Isabelle is familiar with the works of Roxy Paine who creates very large stainless steel sculptored tree like designs on a very large scale.
So pretty and evocative!
Have you seen the branch hooks from urban outfitters? A bit simpler and smaller but still a fun look on the wall :) I ordered them just a few weeks ago and love them.

I especially love the white branch standard lamp with the bird at the top. And, actually, the disapproving rhinoceros light on her site. I wonder if my husband would go for it?
Impressive!!!…
Easy yet nice..
Classy & Elegant!..
