it just started pouring here so i’m in need of something colorful and uplifting- and these beautiful papercut pieces from helen musselwhite are just the ticket. laura at cul de sac sent over helen’s site and i’ve been trying to pick a favorite piece ever since. each one is so precious and sweet. click here to check out more of helen’s work.

Beautiful creations! I would love to have the first one in my home.
i love helen’s work! i gave my husband a piece of her work for our first wedding anniversary last year. it was perfect since paper is the traditional first year gift.
Okay, this is off topic (though I love these creations), but what is up with all the ceramic Bambi-type reindeer? I keep seeing them everywhere. They aren’t really my style, but I’m so curious–are they some vintage collector’s item?
Oh lovely!
Waiting for sneek peaks… (:
they’ll be next in 5 min… ;)

I just went to a gallery opening on Saturday in my little town in PA (Mercantile Home in Easton, PA – http://www.mercantilehome.com/Mercantile_Home_Welcome.html) and Helen’s work was there – of course I fell in love! How funny to see it here just a few days later!
Love the forest shadow box and all those shades of green- so serene!
Her work is amazing – that deer in the photos is super cute too!

love the forest paper cut . i am always fascinated by paper or cardboard art sculptures
All just lovely, however, I think the last one is my favorite. …colors and depth, but another look tells me it might be the crow.
After seeing these yesterday I went straight out after work and bought 2 from my local gallery! I love Design Sponge :) Helen’s work is even better in person. Thanks for showing me these x
What a wonderful modern version of “Home Sweet Home” art.
