today jason martin is posting his final post on the d*s guest blog- and the subject is ‘finding inspiration‘. he has shared some wonderful thoughts on getting in touch with your home and your personal style all week and today he’s wrapping things up with a look at where you can find the places and spaces that will inspire your next great project- or interior. click here to check it out. and thank you to jason for his great writing this week.

while jason is looking for inspiration, i’m sadly looking for a new laptop. my old toshiba finally bit the dust this week (yep, i use a PC and loved it). so my apologies for the short or sporadic posts this week- it’s been tough to get online and now i’m going to have to find a new one this weekend and get everything re-loaded and back on track. so on monday i promise i’ll be a fully-functional grace with an organized schedule of posts. today will be a short posting day as i try to get everything off of the old computer (in fits and starts while it shuts itself down every few minutes) and salvage what i can.
in the meantime, my martha stewart post that was due for yesterday is up…

are you going with a mac this time? just curious…oh, and good luck with getting everything organized!
Hmm…my NEW Toshiba bit the dust this week. At least mine’s under warranty, but still so frustrating trying to salvage everything, and find a replacement while it’s being repaired.
love this site, just found it about a week ago, have been obsessed ever since. i too have toshiba woes…i love the computer but it hates me. i might go with an acer next time. you should check them out, zippy new pc brand that is supposed to be very reliable.
im not doing the whole mac vs pc thing, but i have had both. the mac just last so much longer, less problems. the first day my wife switched to mac she actually cried. well good luck. thanks for the great work. i love this site.
i’m also a pc girl – and strongly suggest a sony vaio laptop. it only brought me joy so far and it’s great for design purposes! best of luck with the new device and we’re waiting for your lovely posts to fill our screens with beauty!
oh the pain of it all. good luck grace in whatever you choose. it’s so frustrating!
I have had 2 toshiba laptops and love them immensely!!! The old one had over heating problems, but it’s 6 years old and still going strong (you just have to make sure it’s well ventilated). The new one is only a year old and has had no problems to speak of. I love them!
oh no! that is NEVER fun, but a new laptop is! enjoy!!
hope you fix it soon. i agree with leisure forte, i have both and i’m glad my travelin’ companion is my mac.
I really enjoyed Jason Martin’s posts this week! Thank you for always giving me inspiration. Hope your computer dilemma is solved ASAP!
yay Grace for being a PC girl!
I am a graphic design student and fellow PC girl, and i am so very sick of macs. i have never understood why graphic designers think they are better… so I salute you!
My Toshiba did the same thing. Hurry and get your stuff off, mine finally decided not to ever turn back on. I lost alot of data for work. Have fun finding a new PC.
