today i’m thrilled to welcome one of my favorite artists, maria vettese of port2port press, to the d*s guest blog. maria just launched a new card society this weekend, has a great new lines & shapes book with lena corwin coming out tomorrow (stay tuned for an interview with them tomorrow!), and is blogging weekly on 3191 miles apart. but this week i’m excited to have her back at d*s guest blog. she’ll be writing and visually documenting “simple pleasures” this week so click here to check out her first post!

Cute mats! What a nice way to spruce up the table.
I love the look of them, but it seems that they’re paper. So they’re throw-aways? I don’t know, I guess maybe nice for a party, but I couldn’t see buying them for any other purpose.
Maybe I’m just having a picky moment, but all I can see is that the knife is turned the wrong way in the first two photos.
