one of my favorite pieces of porcelain in my home is a collage-style vessel by karin eriksson that holds all of my cooking utensils. i love the way she combines clean white porcelain with beautiful strips of pattern and subtle drawings. so when i heard from carrie maclennan of made in the shade, i was happy to see this work from kitty & dude in the same vein. cosima creates lovely ceramic vessels, ornaments, wall pieces and wearables- i’m particularly fond of the jugs at the top. they’d be perfect for an impromptu floral arrangement brought home from the bodega. click here for more information on kitty & dude. also, check out made in the shade, a fantastic indie boutique shopping even celebrating scottish artists.

Grace, if you like these pieces you should check out Stefanie Scheier’s work. She has exquisitely crafted ceramics that imprint clay with patterned paper to stunning effect.

Check her out here: http://www.stefaniescheier.de/ She doesn’t have an online shop yet (or an English-language website) but potential customers can drop her an email to place an order, and I think the images speak for themselves!

hello all at design sponge, I’m so glad that you like my work and i’m honoured to be mentioned on your lovely site. I spent yesterday with carrie at the MITS Springtime Jamboree and she told me all about you. With regards to ordering work, forgive my site it’s in need of tweaking. I have decided to keep it as a portfolio site and sell from other design lead sites, please find me on http://www.velvetboutique.co.uk and http://www.homedeco.com xxx toodle pip , cosima xx

Personally I love white porcelain very much. These white little things with blue pictures are very beautiful.

There are very pretty things on the photos in the post. Karin Eriksson makes things that make house more cosy. This porcelain things look so nice in our age of plastic and metal.
