because our wedding is taking place in a continually tanking economy, we’ve had to scale back our budget over and over again. i’ve been so bummed to have to cut out working with some of my favorite artists, but one project i’m hoping i can hold on to is working with britt at the paper moon project. i first saw her work on katy elliott’s blog and i’ve been a fan ever since. i’m dying to have her do a small custom project for the big day, but until then, i keep drooling over her beautiful monogram/letter work. this work is part of britt’s “el papel de la luna” collection of custom monogrammed stationery and if you’re interested in ordering some just click here for more info and to contact britt.

Grace, any designer would be a fool not to work for you for promotional purposes. Don’t be afraid to ask and don’t be afraid to post the stuff here in return.
It’s your site, and you can do what you want!
I agree with the comment above!!
Wish you all the best in your mission!
These letters are so beautiful. I can see why you would want to hold on to this.

or why not offer trade deals. Ads on your site for work? This is done all the time in radio/tv/internet. Radio gives some ads to local car dealer, car dealer gives lease to radio sales guys. No cash needed! I would think this would be perfect for stationary, tailors, etsy anything.
Thanks for the link grace! I so wanted to order these cards but then I found out I lost my job. bummer so cute!

we’ve done a few trade things for the wedding but not everyone is open to that idea, which i completely understand. advertising is not always the same as payment.
Grace,
I agree with Julia 100% who wouldn’t want to be part of your special day!
We are all great fans of Brits work! In fact we are great fans of Brit! Can’t wait to see what she comes up with for your special day. Best!

where have i been?
Grace,
I’m so excited to be a part of your wedding day!!
thanks britt!
:)
I think your wedding will be beautiful no matter the budget. It’s the time and energy you put into the details! Love hearing all about it!
Beautiful! And don’t stress about the budget/cutting things… you are so creative I know you will have a beautiful wedding!
h I am so excited for you Grace, This is enthralling! I love these letters
PS Grace, even with scaling back, I have no doubt that you wedding will be a sparkling event!
Britt is a close friend, and I am so happy to see her here. Yeah Britt!!!
Yeah Design Sponge! Everything she does is creative, original and special! XOXOXO
It’s been said, but I’ll say it again… trades are the way to go! And as far as I’m concerned, in this economy, advertising is *better* than payment! Especially if the alternative is no deal at all. We all need whatever we can get…
All the hard work you’ve put into Design*Sponge has benefited these vendors immensely, if not directly through your features, then indirectly through your advancement of the design industry as a whole (which has been significant for sure). Any good vendor will recognize this and offer trades, if not freebies! I hope you get emails from designers all over, after they read this thread, and that your only problem will be deciding between them.
….and back to the post…What amazing lettering! I love it. Good hand-typography is so inspiring.
I love those hand drawn letters! I’m not sure what your budget looks like but I would love to help if you’re looking for more affordable hand-done wedding designs! I’ve been working on a lot of custom orders recently and they are my absolute favorite because no two are ever alike. Each couple always brings something new and exciting to the table for inspiration. Anyway, just figured I would throw it out there! I haven’t been on Etsy long but have been having a blast so far!
Hand drawn accents??? So cool. Hand-rendered type is so rare in our digital world, I can really appreciate these!
