summer of summerized used wrapping paper, ribbon and new handles from the dollar store to update her basic white dresser. she mod-podged the wrapping paper to the drawer and then glued black and white polka dot ribbon to the edges of the drawers. such a fun and playful overhaul. and the total cost? $7.50. can’t beat that. click here for more on summer’s project. [thanks, rory!]

the wrapping paper is LOVELY. (i also adore the paint color of the wall)
That is beyond gorgeous and, if these results can be had for $7.50, and assuming that the resurfacing is reasonably sturdy, then I’d like to do something like this on my own furniture. In fact, I’d love to see a roundup on D*S sometime focusing solely on these super-simple projects [of the paper and Mod Podge variety]. This is great!
Oh, my gosh. I love this! It’s so great that people are able to breathe new life into objects with so little money!
Love it! Its unbelevable what a little creativity can do.
Super creative and I love the ribbon! You can’t beat $7.50! I’ll be linking to this article in the Daily DIY.
WOW very loud, but as long as it fits within the room, it can work beautifully. Certainly an improvement over the plain jane white of before!
that really turned out lovely. great wrapping paper! would love to have that for gifts!
Wow — what a great job! So creative, and the end result is just stunning!
I’m tackling this one over the weekend…
What do you do to prevent the wrapping paper from peeling off or ripping?
