i met jamie graham when i visited scad last year (on the trip that inspired me to get married in savannah!) and was thrilled to hear about her new home in austin. after graduating from scad jamie moved to austin where she’s now working as a designer. her swede hill home was ready to be condemned when she bought it but was brought back to life last year with a full restoration, from the ground up. jamie describes it as “900 square feet of cuteness” and i couldn’t agree more. jamie’s still finishing the house but i wanted to share these two shots that ooze the sort of clean modernism that i wish i could attain. thanks to jamie for sharing!

cute place. i hope we get to see more sometime!
Where did she find that white pedestal table??? That’s what I need in my kitchen!
Totally unrelated to this post, but I just have to say that seeing the d*s before and after on domino this morning was totally inspiring to me! As a recent grad and recently-turned blogger, it’s so nice to see that your blog looked sort of like mine does now when you were just starting! Thanks for sharing that–it’s a great boost to my morning!
Yes, more please!!!!
The first picture is absolutely beautiful – the soft green wall contrasted the a black buffet and bright accents is so eyecatching. Love the Eiffel chairs with that table too.
I love the green wall paint. So fresh. Jamie, do you remember what color/brand it is.
Thanks!
The pedestal table is from Ikea and it is around 150 dollars. I will also check on the paint color for you “e”!
Thanks for all of the kind comments! I look forward to sharing more once completed.
:)

Love the simplicity!
i’d love to see more of jamie’s gorgeous home!
the black buffet is so gorgeous – is it vintage or new?
I have been thinking about putting a small table lamp on the kitchen counter for a while now. Looks super here.
This why you are good at what you do, Jay Gee!
I love that hutch to bits! Where can I find something like that???
I love the opaque white lamp on the counter and am looking for something like this in my own kitchen. Can you tell me where it is from?
Wow, love love LOVE that kitchen. I want one!
The hutch is actually a vintage piece I painted black and then applied anthropologie knobs to it! If you’re interested, there is the SAME vintage piece at a store called Room Service here in Austin for 169 dollars :)
