this beautiful wallpaper by dutch designer rachel de joode is actually made from repeated photographs of women. up close you can see the images of women in colorful dresses, but from afar it blends together to create a rich, exotic pattern. you can view more of rachel’s work right here or right here and here at soon salon. [thanks, paul!]

This is gorgeous!
I could not live with this
Beautiful! Too much would give a headache to be sure, but a tiny bit would be lovely.
trippy from afar, delightful up close! i love the concept but not the vertigo. :)
I would use this in a woman’s dressing room or large walk-in closet.
Maybe for a half wall or something..
but even then..
a bit much..
Uh, wow… yeah, too much for me.
Woo! that’s an awesome idea!
Prehaps not a whole wall, but feature strips would work.. would make guests walk abut and go “what’s that.. ”
That could easily be a DIY activity (im thinking like the peep hole idea with paste). All you’d need is lots of prints of the same girl and some flour glue.
Back of the toilet door maybe? or surrounding the front door.
Very cool!
Love, love, love the last one!!! I think I need it for my new studio!
I absolutely love the idea, but in reality the first pattern depicted (the quieter one in teal/white) is the only one that doesn’t blast your head off in a real home environment. Very creative though!
woweee! this is definitely a statement…i think it looks fabulous, i don’t know if i could live with it…but i love it!
