I live in San Diego and have eaten at Starlite. It is hidden away in the city, but so much fun to discover, the architecture and ice cream sandwiches are fantastic.

Those little green cube seats are so good!

And The Starlite entrance is beautifully curious! Who wouldn’t love to make an entrance (or a quick and mysterious exit) through a hexagon!?!?!

Starlite love – YAY!!! The Mule specialty cocktail is my fav! The best part is that the specialty cocktails are served in an oversized copper mug, and they muddle all of the fresh ingredients for your drink right in front of you – it’s like a modern organic drink laboratory -yum! The music is fun, the food is delicious, and the back patio bar is pretty fun too :)

Unbelievable! I love how it sort of mixes retro (particularly the sign) with modern. I don’t know if it’s “warm” enough that I’d want to live in it, like some of the other readers, but I’d definitely hang out there.

OMG…. the is REALLY yummy Mid Mod design for you.
I think I might have to take a drive to San Diego to see it in person.

I just look at the “Starlight”s facade & space and hear the opening bars of the theme song for “Shaft” bubble up out of the afterlife! It looks like a great hang!

Gothikrose

what?!! That’s amazing! I live in SD and I’ve never even heard of this place! So there! :)

Every space they do is so cool and they do it all themselves!! San Diego is blessed to have artists like this.
