sculptural white lamps (and spring 09 color trends)

use4.jpg
right now i feel like cleaning everything out in my life and simplifying. out with the overly heavy patterns and in with something cool and calming. like this white sculptural (paper mache) lamps from stray dog. i love the shapes and the fact that, for me, they nicely straddle the line between grown up and child-like. i think they’d look equally lovely in a nursery or say, on my bedside table. and the blue one (top right) would look perfect as an accent with all that white (i think it’s the same one that rita konig bought on her hamptons trip for domino, right?) click here to check out stray dog’s full collection. [thanks, rory!]

ps: pantone has released it’s “colors for spring 2009” catalog that lays predicts which colors will be big for next spring in home and fashion. click here to download their color look book free of charge.

We have carried stray dog in our retail store for years and they are the nicest people to work with.

As well, their products are handmade from mainly recycled materials. See their site for hand formed birds made of paper mache, hand and mouth blown recycled glass, and hand forged iron. All of their products are original designs and handcrafted by artisans in sustainable jobs. I just think stray dog is an exceptional company and the people there are lovely!
