this weekend barb from knack pointed me to a great set of posts over at katie runnels’ blog. i’ve been a fan of katie’s for a while now (and the incredible work she did with setting up shopscad) but i had sadly not visited her site in a month or so and missed out on this fantastic home tour she shared on her site. katie gave us a little peek into the home of amy zurcher, her best friend and the current director of shopscad. her home oozes the same sort of vintage/modern combination that shopscad does so well (and is the reason i fell in love with the city and the school) and i couldn’t resist posting a few shots here. click here to view katie’s full post and click here to check out shop scad online.

Ooh, that light blue with the beautiful white chandelier is so peaceful!
Wow. Just wow.
I agree with you, Linn, it looks great. That mirror frame is a little creepy though.
Just stunning! Love that green kitchen….
Sooo beautiful and inspiring!!! Katie’s blog is amazing and the images she took of Amy and her Nest are pure magic!
It’s pure magic. She is just magical.
Very nice. I really love the use of that old door as a work surface in the kitchen. That’s a great idea. My boyfriend just rigged up a work space in his room with some old doors, but they’re pretty ordinary compared to that nice one.
amy zurcher is one of the most gifted artists i know. funny beyond belief, exceptional mother. a true superstar.
