pep talk

i love the bold font and rough edges on this greeting card from bread and butter shop. it’s the sort of thing i need to receive before i get on a plane. now if only i can convince ac to give me one of these before tonight’s flight. that or a mild sedative to keep me from panicking. i wish there was a speedy way to get to california without stepping foot on a plane…

LOVE this card. The link to the shop doesn’t seem to be working?

I have similar problems with planes so really feel for you – but find a large gin & tonic before boarding always does the trick!

plane phobia? me too. I have a solution that works every single time though. Acupuncture. I get these little ear tacks put in before i go, and I can fly now, NO PROBLEM. It’s like night and day, seriously. I used to be a three-xanax-and-a-stiff-drink flyer, and now I am sleeping or reading a book or knitting, calm as can be. The ear tacks are on little sticky tape, and the acupuncturist puts them in before i fly, and I can just peel them off after i land. You can also get the kind that are acupressue, little beads on the tape, instead of tiny needles, if you have needle issues. Try it. I promise it will change your life.

rescue remedy. i use it on two of my dogs when we travel. they can’t handle the car otherwise.

i tried it for myself. it’s like drinking a glass of wine, or smoking a joint. it doesn’t make you loopy, it just chills you out a bit. just a few drops under the tongue. it’s all natural, and you get get it at whole foods.

I am LOVING their stuff! Thanks for the heads up …I contacted them to see if I could feature their items on my store.

Thanks again!

i am TERRIFIED of riding on planes! like Mr.T’s character on A-Team i would need to be sedated to set foot on one again…
this would be a good card just to have posted on the inside of the front door, i’d love to see it before leaving the house every morning!

what a cool little store! It looks like it’s printed to nice quality paper too. So much better than standing like a dope at the supermarket card isle looking for something that’s only palatable.

i am soooooooo happy to see i am not the only person afraid of flying.
all my friends make serious fun of me for being so scared of it.

we leave for sf on sat. and i have my anti-anxiety meds ready.

gaile – a girl i work with does that type of acupuncture. maybe i should talk to her… that sounds better than prescription meds. i hate taking those things, but it’s the only way i can get on a plane.

good luck on your cross-country flight! i totally feel your pain. don’t forget to pack some warm clothing for sf. i’m here for another night and made the mistake of assuming that sf was warm like any other city is during the summer! i forgot what mid-60 degree weather felt like!

2 words – calms forte. i hate flying and would have a panic attack every time. i don’t like drugs and wouldn’t take anything like that. i have tried meditation and hypnotherapy then homeopath told me about this stuff – i love it! i take 1 (or just a half. 3 for sleeping at night. she also told me she gives it to her dog – just a half of one when she takes him on the plane with her and it works great) and i am fine – GREAT- so relaxed and calm – i have used rescue remedy and love it – but it is better for more mild stresses – i have also done the acupuncture balls on my ear lobes – they work ok. but nothing has been as good as calms forte – you can find it at whole foods. for your next trip ;)
