new: poppies for grace

i’m all about wedding stationery these days- i’ve decided that designing my own stationery is, alas, not in the cards for me (no pun intended). i think we’ve decided on a stationer to go with but for anyone who’s still in the market- poppies for grace has just added a lovely wedding stationery line to their collection. there are six styles to choose from, each one cuter than the next. in addition to their wedding line, poppies for grace has new stationery and a great 2009 calendar available as well. click here to check out their full collection and order online.

Why did you choose not to design your own invitations ? I draw my invitations, then took them to a printer who had them letterpressed. Considering how inspired you guys are at DSSponge, I’m sure you’ll come up with something amazing !!

Does anyone know where I can find well-designed academic year calendars? Sept 2008-Aug 2009? Thanks!

Ann

I AM still in the search for wedding stationary and this is lovely. Thank you for sharing, Grace!

i decided it’s best to delegate the things i’m having the hardest time with. i couldn’t make a decision and sadly don’t have as much time as i thought i did to work on the design, printing and invites. but what we’ve decided on is way better than i could have done.

i’ll still be doing a large portion of the diy projects myself but this was one part i had to let go for my own sanity ;)

For what it’s worth– Black Pearl Press in Boston did our wedding stationary and did a beautiful job. I always thought I would do it myself, but I had such a hard time with it, and it just wasn’t fun. And Elisabeth was fabulous– really nice and low-key and easy to work with.

Grace: I understand !! :-))

I organized my wedding without any wedding planer (we hardly ever do that in France), so I know what you mean ! It is time consuming….

Stationary designer are awesome in the US. I came this close to actually ordering ours from an american designer… we’re so far behind here, using either whimsical theme that are to vomit for, or the same lame and personality-lacking design our grand-parent had…

By the way, these are gorgeous !! I love the tree !

Designing for yourself is so much harder than designing for others. It’s easy to spot things you love, but when it needs to be personal, I know I waste too much energy trying to be perfect. Grace, you’ll be glad you handed that task off, and you’ll enjoy choosing from options presented to you!
