last weekend i decided to check out the new ikea in red hook, brooklyn. the consensus? better cafeteria, but not a better shopping experience than our normal jersey location. i rented a zipcar to bring my ikea stash home and had an hour left so i thought i’d zip down to dumbo and see what was new at west elm. in addition to picking up a super cute shower curtain (i got the blue one) i was seriously tempted by these cute studded lacquered storage boxes. available in a variety of colors (sold in sets of 3 for $39) they would be so perfect for storing odds and ends, sewing supplies or any number of small bits that need organizing. i couldn’t decide on a color so i decided i should wait and come back if i really want them. but if you want them you can pick them up right here (just scroll down to the bottom) in reds, blues or neutrals.

Wow I totally want a set! I can understand your dilemma over the color. It looks like the neutrals would pair well w/ either the reds or the blues, which makes it tempting to want two sets!
Nice boxes, great shower curtain, but I’m oddly in love with that dresser in the first pic. I think it’s the color.
More than the boxes, how about that dresser in the first shot? That is the perfect gray color. Maybe it’s a built-in? Whatever, I love it.
