serv ce station

d*s reader alana sent over a link to “rural american design company” serv ce station (yep, there is supposed to be a space- and no “i”- between the “v” and “c”). based in glenford, new york, serv ce station reminds me of a wonderful mix of something i’d see at bddw and something i’d see posted on kelly’s beautiful blog, hoping for happy accidents (which is a very good thing in my book). serv ce station’s clean, simple furniture looks like the type that is well-worth investing in because you’ll hold on to it for years to come. no fads here, just solid american furniture. click here for more information on serv ce station and to view their full collection. thanks to alana for the tip and- because i found this in my pre-post search- here is a link to a recent post on serv ce station on decorno.

The name is perfect…it looks like an old sign after the “i” has fallen off. Brilliant.

As someone who knows the masters behind these works, Serv ce Station is phenomenal. The work is beautiful and amazingly constructed. They also have an awesome store in Glenford NY, near Woodstock, that is worth the trip.

I happen to live around the corner from their shop and yes, that is where the name came from, it was a service station and the I had fallen off the building. Their furniture is amazing in person. So glad to see them getting mentioned here.

Would love to get the Twig Dining Table…gorgeous with the contrast white legs.

I am so glad Grace posted this. I am also acquaintances with the designers/owners and photos dont do justice to the crafsmanship and detailing. Great people too. Am happy to see the positive response!
