I just took a peek at Julia's blog - amazing. I really admire people with an eye for good finds. I wish I could spot these little treasures myself.

Excellent! I'm so glad D*S is giving air time to people who repurpose as part of their design lives - am sure you've done other features on similar lines before, but I think we need more more more of this! I've become increasingly concerned that design is all about the newest, the latest... and somewhere there are big heaps of all the things that once were the newest and latest but are now superseded. I think those of us who love beautiful things have got to take responsibility for our stuff - and that means not just throwing things away because they are the 'wrong' colour... The world cannot sustain the sort of lifestyles we've led in the past.
Thanks D*S!
