custom tech decoration: unique skins

last month the internet went crazy over a new service called ‘engrave your book’ and ‘engrave your tech’. joe mansfield offers a fantastic service that allows you to add a custom engraving to your tech product (laptop, ipod, cell phone) or notebook. the possibilities are really endless, but a few people worried about the process voiding product warranties. so i was thrilled to hear from jen at swallowfield about a site called ‘unique skins‘ that allows you to upload your own artwork and receive a personalized sticker ‘skin’ that you can place on your tech products for a much lower price point. since such a huge percentage of you reading are artists this could be a fun way to showcase your work- or just upload something custom for your phone/laptop/ipod. click here for more information and to place your order. [thanks to jennifer for the tip- that's her cute laptop design above]

Oh, this is so delightful. I don’t know what to do with myself. I feel a littler overexcited.

These skins are great! You can be creative and have your own unique looking computer without messing up the warrenty:)

I love it! After reading this post, I went to their site and ordered a skin for my cell phone. I wanted to try it out on something small. It was a TON of fun designing it! Plus, I found an online coupon.. enter “25off” for 25% off your order. I just paid for regular shipping and it came TODAY (the 9th). I LOVE it. It looks great on my phone…. and at only $6ish, it’ll be fun to do it again when I’m in the mood for something different. My MacBook is next! Thanks for the tip!
