I find this transformation very interesting however I love the modern design of it , I'm just not too fond of the fabric choice - not a big fan of B&W and since its for a child I would of personally chose something more bright, bold & colorful but all & all I do like the concept of the design

jackie, i am a mother too and for me its a much nicer idea to reuse and recycle the items you already have. a lot of childrens toys are not even recyclable at all. its great to see someone taking the time to both create a visually stimulating piece of childrens furniture/toy and to think about not wasting materials already at hand. i know that my child would really adore this, he also really likes fabric and drapery though (like his mama). but also, if the child already likes to rock on the toy...i think that the child will really only be interested in the function of it?

ok, well I just read more carefully and realized that the child outgrew the original version. I still don't get it though. If it's been outgrown why keep it around at all?!

Really great as far as workmanship goes, and modern design of course. But as a mom of real-life children, I'm not sure I get how that would be appealing to a child. It's pretty on my computer screen, just seems a little inappropriate for reality. *shrug*

I think they made the big head on the original rocker padded so the child doesn't bang her face on a sharp corner if rocking vigorously. Looks much better "after" though!
