it may seem a little odd, but all of the sheets i use are washed very well in warm water, with a natural enzyme cleaner in with the detergent. and then they are dried in the sun, which definitely kills any stray bacteria/weird stuff. and when i&#039;m shopping for materials, i don&#039;t choose anything with any odd stains.....:)

and of course you could always go with the coasters or placemats or tablecloths, if that seems less off-putting. ;)
