Hi there! My name is Loraine- on grijs I post almost daily about design/ art/fashion because I need to see beautiful things and train my eyes for it in the meantime. Oh… and I never use blog titles, instead I talk with signs and images.
In the process of blogging I started to feel the need again to make things myself. So today I would like to show you what I’m doing. The rest of the week will be about things that caught my eye as usual + nice places in Amsterdam.
And I want to thank Grace for being so generous to give me this opportunity and not unimportant…. to finally be able to show you BIGGER PICTURES! Which is a big part of the fun I must say…

CHOCOLATE is the name of this project. The idea is that they’re dipped in chocolate. For some reason I started making tea towels and in this case I wanted to silk screen them. That’s why I’m showing you a glimpse of the screen, because I’m really happy that I’m ready to start printing them myself.
It all started with these…the DIPPED project. It’s linen dipped in fabric dye. There are 8 of them and I’m busy making a shop for them which will launch the first week of April.

I very much enjoyed preparing for this guest appearance…..I took a lot of pictures. Hope and wish it’s going to be pleasurable for your eyes as well!

So nice to read your guest blog, Lorain – and to see your big pics! I really do enjoy the way you curate your blog, and now your guest blog too.
Hey Heather :) i’m happy you’re enjoying it, thanks for stopping by…
Very funny and very creative. Not sure if you are just trying to be one of them or both. I bet that took a lot of time!
I’m assuming you’re involved with textiles or fashion?
Hi Michelle , i graduated from the audiovisual department in art school, i made video art. which isn’t me . So i guess you can say i’m trying to be one.Your bet that it took a lot of time is correct , because i have to start from the beginning. And i am many steps behind on people who did graduate from the right department.
