vicki simon

with icff barely two months away i’m starting to slowly get some sneak peeks at products that will be debuting this may at the javits center. one of my favorites so far is this beautiful rug from san francisco designer vicki simon. at icff vicki will be introducing her ‘taxonomy’ collection and a piece called ‘the secret life of turtles’ that depicts a series of abstract tortoise backs shown “sauntering off in their non-deliberate meandering way, while encountering dropped leaves (shown in green linen) on the way.” i love the raised green sections of this particular rug, i can just imagine how nice that would feel to walk across without socks. for more information and to contact vicki simon rugs click here.

I love seeing new rug designs. I’m trying to figure out a DIY rug besides the 70’s hooking technique.

  2. Fabulous designs, love that they are hand tufted in the US.
