good morning, guest blogger!

dipped-1.jpg
i’m unusually chipper this morning because it’s going to be an exciting week (not to mention i’m still glowing from looking at wedding dresses online all weekend)! the last biz ladies meetup is almost ready, the d*s job board is almost ready to go, the diy finalists are announced this wednesday and so is the 2008 d*s scholarship (not to mention a few surprises coming at the end of the month!). and the icing on the cake? today i’m thrilled to welcome the lovely loraine of grijs to the d*s guest blog. i’ve read loraine’s blog for as long as i can remember working online and have always admired her beautiful photos and ability to create a blog that oozes clean, simple sophistication and style. her first post introduces a new project she’s been working on but for the rest of the week she’ll be focusing on her favorite products, designers and places in amsterdam. click here to check it all out!

[stay tuned for two fantastic sneak peeks today at 12 and 1 and a very special podcast at 10!]

Would you be willing to share some of your wedding design research with us? Maybe there could be a little section devoted to wedding design ideas. It would be a great way for those of us who are planning weddings right now to share with each other.

You really need to take it down a notch before you spread yourself thin, which seems like you are there. Relax, and try not to take on so much, you deserve a little break Grace. :) Take time for planning your wedding and yourself. ;)

Grace- C ongratulations on your engagement and imending nuptials, what wonderful news!! I have to suggest an absolutely stunning wedding dress designer, Jenny Packam http://www.jennypackhambride.com . I may be a bit bias because I recently bought a dress from her collection for my June wedding :) But they are definitely worth checking out, the detail and the fabric are amazing not to mention they have a very vintage 1930′s flair which is lovely.
Good luck and have fun!! I look forward to hearing about it all!

I have to recommend at least to take a look at Monique Lhuillier’s gowns. They are very expensive but also so completely gorgeous!
