when im looking for inspiration i find it can be really interesting to take a look at designs from the past. if you pick and choose wisely they can often be re-invented for the here and now. some vintage pieces can look so ‘now’. it’s hard to believe they were not designed yesterday. so today i thought i would show you some of my favourite sites for vintage research. the mugs pictured above
and below are ‘fire king’ pieces by american company anchor hocking. see some great examples here at dealership.

for a fantastic resource on vintage pyrex check out the pattern guide on pyrex love, it’s a beautiful at-a-glance guide to lots of stunning motifs.

two other sites i really love are flaska and fukuya who both have such great photography you can really observe the details of these designs. below two pieces from another favourite of mine aurinko.

above, for textiles and kitchen linens etc i like to browse around another japanese site
called pitea.

This is so great! My mom got the original Crazy Daisy mixing bowl set in college and she recently broke one of the pieces and was very sad. Now I know they have on Ebay and can replace it!!! Thanks for this link, it’s so wonderful :)
wow, some of those are amazing! and remind me not a little of my nan’s house, which i guess just makes them all the more dear
