i’m loving these eco-friendly journals from laura skelton. handmade from recycled soda box covers and 30 sheets of 100% post-consumer recycled paper (sewn in with red thread), these affordable ($10) notebooks would have been perfect for my new under $100 feature at domino this month. i’m so bummed i missed them before my deadline. you can pick up one of laura’s notebooks right here at her etsy shop, prix-prix. i might have to pick up a few to match the color-themed roundup coming up next at 1. they’re right in line with the whole theme…

can i just say that i LOVE (i mean, l-o-v-E) your blog?? god bless stumbleupon! :-) first they bring me to tastespotting, which led to notcot, and now your blog is on my bookmarks toolbar so that i can get my daily dose of design (along with my shameful daily dose of celeb gossip… we all have vices :-p)

and btw, i’ve committed myself to going thru your archives. i’ve made it thru 2004, 2005, and i just started 2006… i’m a bit obsessed at this point! :-)

keep up the fantasmagorical work!!!!

I bought one of these a few months ago and it’s great. Makes a perfect gift, but make sure to buy one for yourself because you’ll want to keep one. It’s the perfect size- small enough to keep with you for jotting notes, recipes, art ideas or whatever it is you so desire. Each one is unique and handmade. When you order them, Laura packages the notebooks and all her products so nicely that it feels like christmas when the order comes. Definitely check out her wallets and purses as well. I swear by them! You should put it the next issue of Domino.

Cute! But what’s a “soda” box? Always great to find an up-cycleable container with no pre-printed logo garbage on…
