I think the chair would look even more contemporary if the wood was painted in white. But I’m digging that fabric!

Icee – I totally agree about painting it white! It’d look much more complete and the fabric would pop.

I was actually going to comment to ask the same question as Julia, but I’ll still comment about how great I think the chair looks! I’m so in love with yellow right now. White would definitely look nice, but I think it still looks great au naturale.

Love,

thanks yall! i actually was going to paint it in white, but my mother caught wind of it and said that since it was an heirloom i was forbidden. haha.

The fabric is a vintage fabric that I picked up in Las vegas at the Attic (it is near downtown vegas).

I agree about the painting too!!Originally I was going to paint the chair white with a high gloss but my mother caught wind of it and said I was forbidden since it is an heirloom. :(

Hey Erin!

Looks real good! I love the fabric! For some reason I have strong issues against lacquering wood. I don’t think you should paint it white. Covering it in white leather with some nail heads is always an option, but I don’t know exactly how that would turn out. Trial and Error? It looks great now!
