you + me poster

it seems like there’s a real love/hate thing going on with the “for like ever” poster right now. i keep seeing people who are railing on the poster and want to see it disappear completely and then people who seem to want it in 50 more colors (at least) for every room in their house. whether you’re pro or anti “for like ever” the people who brought you that poster have introduced another called “you + me” in a nice soft hue called “thistle”. you can pick up a copy right here for only $30. while browsing joanna’s site i caught this gorgeous shot from a house tour (belonging to elizabeth dunker) she did on cookie magazine‘s website.

I think that is my dream bedroom. I think I might try to make a quilt that looks similar to that duvet. When I gain the ability to stop time so I can find enough hours in the day….

Great pic!

Like the poster. LOVE the dogs. How cute is that head tilt? The bedroom is gorgeous. I wish mine had room for a chair.

Beautiful room. I love the bedside wall lamp! Does anyone know where is it from? Thanks!

one of my very favorite pictures by Elisabeth (which is hard because they’re all so great!)

Put me on the love side of “for like ever”. I suspect those who hate it don’t see the humor, which I very much do. :)

i think people have the love-hate relationship with the “for like ever” poster because it’s become so popular. some design aficionados believe once it’s accepted by the masses it loses its appeal. i just believe love what u love.

That top image with the puppies is way too cute. And I took a second look at that image on Joanna’s site as well–there’s something really inviting about that bedroom.

Forget the poster…I want those cute little pups! They look like my little angel Eva…

That cracked me up because I’m such a “For Like Ever” hater right now. I think it’s just ’cause I saw it everywhere (!!!) and it lost it’s “special-ness” to me because of that. I love seeing items with a similar feel that I can swoop up on the sly (hopefully) :)

thanks so much for the link love;) yes, the poster and the puppies are SO cute.

and i started out hating the For Like Ever poster, but then it kind of grew on me. it’s funny how it inspires so much emotion!

I would also like to know about the bedside lamp. I saw a pair like that in a magazine a few years ago and have not been able to find them. Does anyone have ideas? For some reason I think they are Danish, but it is just a guess.

Zee – Oh my god, thank you, thank you, thank you! I’m moving this April and looking forward to redecorating, and want some mustard accents in my bedroom, that fabric is PERFECT!!! and so much easier than making a quilt right now!

Angie Montreal

Zee – Thanks so much for the tip!!! The BF and I are moving in April and I want to redecorate, and now I am going to go buy this fabric next week to make a bedspread! Yay! I think I’ll use one of the co-ordinating fabrics for the reverse side…hmmmm.

forget about the poster. that table is unbelievably fabulous!!! I’d give my pinkie toe for that table!

Fun design can be popular too :) It happens, and its okay to like popular things too, people! Somebody who thinks they’re “important” kicked off the debate and everyone is just repeating her. I got the For Like Ever poster for my daughter’s room, and everyone who sees it thinks its so cute.

To all those For Like Ever haters I have this to say:

what like ever :P

Original Glazed

Whoever asked what kind of dogs they are, I think they are ‘Bugs’, i.e. Boston Terrier-Pug mixes.

I wonder if the “For Like Ever” hating is because after its popularity grew, the price inexplicably shot up from $10 to $60. It sucks that some people/businesses exploit their popularity like that.
