picapica is the work of designer liz grotyohann. based in baltimore new jersey, liz was trained as a graphic designer at mica under design greats like ellen lupton and abbott miller (you can see a sneak peek of ellen and abbott’s home right here). she now creates her own collages and mixed-media assemblages in addition to a line of handmade and recycled objects she sells at her brand new etsy shop. my favorites are above and below but you can click here for more information on liz’s work. [ps: in case you were wondering, pica pica stands for pica (a unit of measurement used in printing and typography) and pica (black-billed magpie in latin).]
