ever since anne turned me on to ryan berkley‘s spiffed up animals-in-suits prints i’ve been mildly obsessed with the idea of animals in human clothing. these lovely prints by julianna at oh my cavalier are a wonderful combination of my love of animals (especially bears in striped socks) and partially tinted/painted illustrations (ala alyson fox). each one is available for $14 right here so i think i might need to scoop up one to join my ryan berkley owl and tiger. then i’ll only be one print away from being able to make a corny joke about lions and tigers and bears oh, my!….

I think this Etsy illustrator has the edge on Berkley’s birds.

After seeing Ryan Berkley’s work on this blog and another blog that’s name is escaping me at the moment, I bought the tiger and jack rabbit prints. They’re in frames, ready to be hung right now and I love them. They look great in person.
Have you seen these paintings of dogs in uniforms? http://printerpiemaker.blogspot.com/2007/08/also.html
There are always lots of them on Ebay and they are kind of amazing.
I have been obsessed with animals in clothing portraits ever since the ryan post! I have the raven, tiger, and owl and hung them in my kid’s room. I was looking into alyson fox prints too!
I’m in lovelovelove with animals in clothing! Animorphism, I believe it’s called – very Victorian. Before the holidays, I found the Wool and Water Etsy shop and her adorable girl/bear paper doll: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=9005744. Quite adorable!
