from mantle-scapes to table scapes- i’m crazy about these beautiful porcelain stones used to decorate karin eriksson‘s holiday table. it’s such a subtle but sweet way to add color and texture to the table. i wish i’d thought of something like this for our holiday table but luckily it’s an idea that could be applied to any most any occasion. if i knew anything about porcelain i’d make these myself but in the meantime i’ll hope karin will sell them on her etsy shop or hope i can find some light colored rocks to make a diy version in the meantime. there are more beautiful christmas photos from karin right here.

[stay tuned for a diy project at 12!]

you could also use paper clay, it’s super easy to mold into any shape you like and it doesn’t need to go in a kiln to harden, it is air-hardening. you can paint on it once it’s dry.

Thanks for the link to Karin’s photos. They are so beautiful. Her pottery is so lovely. I have to have some of her votive holders.
