black magic

i love the “palettes and paints” section of remodelista- they showcase a style or color theme and show some great examples from inspirational home. i was really struck by these two rooms in the “black magic” palette. i’d like to move into both spaces, pronto. they embody that sort of simple, minimal look that i could never possibly create in my own home (we just have too much “stuff”) but have always wanted. click here for more from remodelista.

perfect bound

I’m loving white interiors more and more. (Maybe it’s the weather.) They really allow you to pay attention to the details & textures. These rooms are so simple and stunning.

What lovely spaces! I too am drawn to the pared-down, serene spaces. And like you, I couldn’t possible manage that in my home because of all my “stuff.” I can’t wait to explore Remodelista!

Mmm, yes love the b & w. Very similar aesthetic that I’d like to be inspired by for my “new” studio. Your timing is perfect, Grace.

what a coincidence. last night we bought a dining room table and it’s black with a slightly distressed finish. kind of a big step for me since i’m so partial to whites and creams, and this table is over 7′ long, but i can’t wait to get it home…still trying to figure that out and hoping it will fit through the door. so i’m heading over to remodelista. thanks for this resource grace.

Nice pics, but man I would have thought a site about design would have more respect for its visitors. Those continually blinking ads at the right make this page basically un-viewable to me.

I expect Design*Sponge will restrict this comment, but JHC, think about how annoying those ads are.
