for as long as i’ve had a computer i’ve kept a folder on my desktop called “wishlist”. i know, it sounds a little 3rd grade of me but sometimes it’s fun to keep a collection of ideas as virtual window shopping. i rarely end up buying any of the things in the folder, but it’s fun to look at them and imagine where they’d go in our house one day. every month i force myself to dump out the folder and either invest in one of the items or move on and find new inspiration. so i thought i’d share the pieces in my wishlist folder this month: a vintage grey sideboard at jayson home $2995, provence society perfume bottle $38, owl bottle stopper $10, suzani bergere chair $2895 and the refind furniture crest (made with tree branches) by luke bartels at refind furniture (via jen garrido).
[stay tuned for the GUYS gift guide by ac + me tomorrow!]

the GUYS gift guide? can’t wait – I need all the help i can get!!!
That chair is absolutely stunning! You’ve completely inspired me to start my own little wish-list folder! ;) Thanx!
I keep a wish list folder as well!! Need to be better about cleaning it out though.
Grace, splurge a little and buy the owl bottle stopper ;-)
Do you really scrap the ENTIRE list every month? I’d keep that bergere on my wishlist until it found its way into my living room . . .
I have a wishlist hosted by http://www.wishpot.com . it’s a great way to keep everything one place, including a gift list (that only you can see) and a “i don’t like this stuff” list. you can create your own kinds of lists, and share them with people. plus it keeps my bookmark folder clean(er)!

yup! if i ever have 3k to drop on a chair like it’s no big deal…well, that will never happen ;)

wow on that chair! my wish folder is a mess going back years. it’s kind of funny to organize by date and look back at what i was loving in 2000!
i love them all! i have a “wants” bookmark folder that is constantly expanding… now i think i’ll have to add a few of these too!
- I just discovered a site called Kaboodle that allows you to keep a wishlist from multiple sites in one place! You can even catergorize per each month if you wanted : )

if it helps to remove something from the list: i own the Provence perfume bottle and the fumes from the perfume that I poured inside caused the glue that held the bottle stopper together to break down. in other words: it’s a pretty object on my vanity, but not a useful one.

love these, grace! you get kudos for being able to scrap the folder every month ;)

That chair is incredible! Not in my budget but hey, we can dream right? Wow.
i know, right? that chair is painfully gorgeous. sigh, one day. when i win the lottery…
and thanks for the perfume bottle tip! good to know :)

i totally have a folder too called “shop for me”. right now its filled with non maternity dressed and high high heels that i can maybe wear now that henry is born.
At first I’d thought you were using polyvore for making these neat collage photos, it’s a nice website for keeping wishlists too.
The chair is impressive, but a bit too garish for me.
The tree branches look like horns :))
i love your inspiration folder idea, and its such a great idea to clean it out every month too… keep the good stuff coming :)
Too bad you dump the folder every month. I think it would be fun to see how and if your design tastes change over time. I know mine certainly have and I’ve been wondering if it’s age or influence or a combination.
i keep a wishlist on my desktop too! but it helps me determine when i look back in a month if i really wanted it or not. i like the perfume bottle.
