it’s still a little early for holiday cards in my book (i try not to get too holiday-driven until after thanksgiving) but i couldn’t resist these beautiful letterpressed cards kat at vertallee sent yesterday. based in austin, vertallee letterpresses all of their work by hand and then print on a heidelberg windmill. i love the new holiday cards, all of which are available right here for $20 (for a set of 4 cards). [thanks, kat!]

A heidelberg letterpress machine is fully automated — not a hand fed (or printing!) machine
I think the terminology got twisted a bit. But obviously, a Heidelberg Windmill is a machine for letterpress printing. It has automatic feeding but requires lots and lots of hands-on set-up, makeready, tweaking, adjusting, etc…
regardless of terminology mixup- it’s great to see more letterpressed stuff on D*S. Nice find.
i saw theses and couldn’t resist! i bought a couple of sets.
it’s never too early!!!
i’m already playing holly jolly christmas on my cd player…
more please! :)
Have you seen the website? Forget the holidays, I am currently planning a wedding and I have been searching for the perfect invites. Vertallee’s wedding invites are beautiful! So delicate, crisp and yet expressive. And the prose on the website, is so magical. Kat, can you design my whole wedding? ;)
I have made my cards @ vertallee .
They did amazing work!
glad to see them making more beautiful cards.
