when it comes to cooking, i usually choose savory over sweet. not because i don’t like sugar but because i’m just no good at baking, pastries or anything in the dessert department (except maybe a good old-fashioned cake). but these porcelain platters by ron gilad are making me re-think the whole baking thing. i’d love to make a whole slew of petit fours and cookies just to display on these platters. you can pick up a round or rectangular plate (and then stack them) right here starting at $162 each.

Lovely! And they save space… vertical food… that means room for more goodies! ;)
oh, nice! have you seen emily’s blog called “the black apple”? she makes some really cute cupcakes and candy in her spare time, it would all look great on a platter like this! (http://www.theblackapple.typepad.com/)

These are so delicate and beautiful- would be wonderful at a wedding for chocolates or petit fours!
they have these in the moma store too – if you’re in the mood to support a museum when you buy.
